Gellman Management launched in the mid 80's, with the signing of Dick Dale in conjunction with two independent record companies, Vesper Alley Records and Jacket Records with successful releases on management clients including; Medley Brothers, Blake St. John, Dick Dale and Doug Forrest.
In 1994 Gellman Management singed singer Vonda Shepard to the roster helping to reignited Shepard’s career with securing a regular role on the hit TV series, Ally McBeal and the release of a 12x –platinum album on Sony Records. Vonda, along with the cast, won two Golden Globes, two Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors’ Guild awards, and a Billboard award for selling the most TV soundtrack records in history.
In 2002 Gellman management started a 14+years management role with Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of Sugarland securing them their first major label record deal with Mercury Records in 2004. Sugarland broke through with their debut single “Baby Girl”, the first single from their multi-platinum debut album. Sugarland has sold over 14 million albums. In 2012, after a series of success tours the duo went on hiatus. Nettles went on to release her debut solo album in 2014, That Girl debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart and No. 5 on Billboard 200. Nettles made her Broadway debut as Roxie in Chicago in 2015 as well as her acting debut in the NBC television movie, Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors portraying Dolly Parton's mother. It premiered on December 10, 2015.
